We are the church where everybody is somebody

Welcome!

Everyone who comes to our church is special to us.  Second Baptist, Rosenberg's history dates back to the mid 1950's and has had a unique ministry.  Not everyone is comfortable in a larger church where a personal touch with the membership is lost. Countless people over the years have found contentment in a church "where everybody is somebody."

We are blessed with a diverse culture.  We have English, Chinese, and Spanish spoken in our midst, but we consider each other as members of one celebrated family.  Our location is central and easily obtained.  We have groups who come from Sugar Land, Missouri City, Needville, Pleak, Katy, Fulshear, Richmond, and of course, Rosenberg.

Since the church was conceived in the mid 1950's, those who once attended as children are now grown with grandchildren.  Our church has the honor of serving second and third generations.

I came as Pastor in the 1980's, and since that time, I have united a lot of couples in marriage and officiated over the last rites of others in this place.  One of our dear members who now resides in heaven once said, "God must want this church here.  People move away, grow up, and join other churches, or die, but the church remains."  This church has a history and a continuity of ministry.

It is a blessing to have each and every one in our midst.  I hope you will make our family your family.

Wishing you God's blessings,

Paul H. Lewis
